Default 1000 RR vs 600 RR riding position

I have been riding an f4i for a while and am very comfortable with it. I am ready to move on to a more aggressive bike. However, I do use the bike to commute to work (only about 30 to 35 mins)so riding position and comfort is going to be a major factor in my decision. I like the look of the 1000 RRs better than the 600s but I'm wondering how different the riding position is. I hear the new 600 RRs are supposed to be much more comfortable than they used to be but I'm wondering how they compare to the new 1000 RRs in this area. Feedback and recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

The new 06-07 1000RR's are more comfortable than the previous gens...for the 07600RR felt pretty comfortable sitting on it, similar to the 06-07 1000RR...good luck

I had an 06 600 rr and just got an 07 1000 rr and the feel the same, the seat or lack there of is the same and the gas tank feels realatively the same. You cant really feel the difference.

I have a '06 600rr and I've ridden my friend's 06' 1000rr and I found his to be much more comfortable over the course of a day of riding. I'm 6-1, 230lbs and my 600 kind of feels like a pocket bike in some ways, fit wise(though I love her too much to ever give her up) and plan on getting a 1kRR for highway use and comfort.

I have an 06 F4i, my first sport bike. Bought a 1000RR, kept the F4i. After having over 3000 miles on the F4i and over 500 miles on the RR, I prefer the RR. I'm not a speed freak, so its not the power of the 1000RR, it is the fit and feel I am more comfortable with. I like the way I naturally hug the tank on the RR. I sit a bit further back on the F4i where I am right there hugging the tank on the RR. I use both for the daily commutes, I have to drive my truck one day a week, I drive the RR 3 days and the F4i the other day.

I sold my F4i last tuesday. I miss it. Really a confortable bike.
I´m waiting the 1000 RR I bought to arrive these days, well really can´t wait anymore, but this feedback keep my peace in mind that I´m not doing a bad change. It is too much money to me to do it the wrong way !

I find the liter bikes to be more comfortable. More room, less cramped the bigger bikes just fit better to me. As opposed to the 600s which seem a little tight.

The 061000RR is way more comfortable than the 600RR of that year. The riding position is more upright, less weight on the wrists, less nut smashing against the tank during hard decceleration. The healthy leap in insurance price offset the slight discomfort of the 600 for me though!
