Default Riding position

I'm looking to get a slightly more aggressive riding position out of my 02 F4i. What type (if any) clip-on bars are the best. I want to keep my turning radious but have found that the stock set up leaves little room for lowering. I realy do not want to spend time trying to do fabrication work on the air ducts.

Any suggestions on the clip-ons?? I would LOVE to see some pics of any F4i's that have this mod so I get no suprises.

Thanx

if youre looking for a more aggressive riding stance i would go with a new rearset before clip ons. vortex makes a very nice but kinda pricey set which more them 1' up and back.

Correct me if I am wrong but wouldn't rear sets be more expensive? Please if anyone has any experience with new rear sets and or clip-ons for an 01-03 F4i I would love to know if it's worth the bother. Unlike a lot of individuals I got my F4i for 2 reasons, 1 hondas are known as being bullet proof, ( I use to own an 88 hurricane 600 ) Plus I bought the bike used, I did not have the funds for a new bike. I got the bike prior to the RR release. I have noticed a lot of riders get the F4i for the riding position.

I LOVE my F4i and with the additional mods I get GREAT performance....FAST AS HELL! But would enjoy a little more aggresive riding postion. So I guess the debate is Rear Sets VS Clip-ons......Would love some photos too. Here's my bike now.

My next mods to include (excluding the current debate) Flush mount marker lights, Short Stalk rear blinkers, Fender eliminator, mirror blockoffs (which are way over priced for what they do), bar end mirrors.

Another pic this one with my ugly mug attached.

the r6 has 43mm forks like the f4i i think the last four years or so have the 43 mm size on the r6.they still are a little tight as far as clearance when you pull all the way to one side or other but not as bad as after market ones. the plates i have are ready to install with only a 10 mm wrench and a 8mm allen wrench and it has the bolts with it.you can use the stock adjustment rod.

oh sorry about that. the adapters plates fit on the stock rear sets and bring them up 1" and back1" they also look better on than off.gets your legs up more so your weight is more compact for more control in riding. it's really like night and day.

I just bought helibars for my 05 F4i. If my stock bars would work out for you, I'd be happy to make you a good deal. I don't know if there different from yours or not. The stock clip-ons on an 05 are for 43mm fork tubes, and they have almost no rise to them. Send me a pm if you're interested.
