Default Red LED's in the gauge cluster

I'm giving it a shot. i've run into a problem though. I'm ready to soder, but i can not figure out how to remove the needle from the rpm gauge, it holds on the face plate.

help me.... i've removed all screws, and straightened out metal tabs in back.

thank you in advance for as my bike is in pieces awaiting this stupid project

In my experiecne on removing needles dont do it lol i have broken every one then your sol but that was a car so i dunno

just curious i want to do the same . how many leds are there for each lcd and the rpm gauge i want to do blue lcds and white tach

they are seated on you have to use a metal fork to pry it off. Be careful though it could be tempormental and break

Use two spoons w/ equal pressure on each side. I didn't remove the needle on mine, just de-solderedthe four or so connections holding the tach on.

There are 13 Tiny LEDs that light up your gauge. It was worth the trouble,, love the new look. i figured out on the needle comes off. You just pull straight out with some small twisting side to side, and slips right off. I had to learn how to solder over the weekend, which was nerve racking but it turned out.

Looks pretty good, you are much ballsier than me cracking open that meter cluster though. I looked up how much one of those is..........$700 bucks if I f**k it up, so I'll just happily put up with the orange.
