I'm giving it a shot. i've run into a problem though. I'm ready to soder, but i can not figure out how to remove the needle from the rpm gauge, it holds on the face plate.

RE: Red LED's in the gauge cluster
In my experiecne on removing needles dont do it lol i have broken every one then your sol but that was a car so i dunno just curious i want to do the same . how many leds are there for each lcd and the rpm gauge i want to do blue lcds and white tach |
RE: Red LED's in the gauge cluster
they are seated on you have to use a metal fork to pry it off. Be careful though it could be tempormental and break

Use two spoons w/ equal pressure on each side. I didn't remove the needle on mine, just de-solderedthe four or so connections holding the tach on.

RE: Red LED's in the gauge cluster
There are 13 Tiny LEDs that light up your gauge. It was worth the trouble,, love the new look. i figured out on the needle comes off. You just pull straight out with some small twisting side to side, and slips right off. I had to learn how to solder over the weekend, which was nerve racking but it turned out.

RE: Red LED's in the gauge cluster
Looks pretty good, you are much ballsier than me cracking open that meter cluster though. I looked up how much one of those is..........$700 bucks if I f**k it up, so I'll just happily put up with the orange. :)
