RE: new fairing or repair n paint?
step 1; Call a dealership and find out how much new fairing is gonna cost..go on ebay and find out how much its gonna cost.
Step 2; Call a body shop that specializes in painting auto's.. say Mayko or whatever its called and ask them. Go to hardware store and look at jb weld stuff and think about if you have the dexterity to mix and apply compound, along with sanding it after. Do you know how to take off the fairings??? no?? get the repair manual specific for your bike. Yes?? read it and see if you can do that.
if you like step 1 better than step 2... Thats what you should do. If step 2 is better than step one, do step 2.
Step 3; If neither of those steps are in your ability...go to a bike shop and get stickers and cover the scratches.
Ive got scratches on my bike..I did steps 1 and 2, and did a mix of 2 and 3..because I don't want to spend 1 days pay cheque on plastic. I also ride my bike more than I look at it..and no ones gonna laugh at you for riding a bike with scratches anyways, because there driving mini vans, and have 6 kids to take to walmart. ( no offense to those here who have 6 kids and go to walmart)
you going to drop your bike. period.
get frame sliders, go to bike school, wear a helmut. walk your dog, tell your gf she's pretty when she's not. brush your teeth.
