mesh in rear cowl

Default mesh in rear cowl

any1 tried putting mesh in place of the vents on the rear cowl of their 600rr? tried searching for pictures but zip. i have no search button skills sorry

No, but i am pretty sure it wouldnt be hard. I did it for the fron fairings, but the 1k has the mesh instead of the fake plastic, so it can be done.

Yeah, I did it to my 06 600 rr, it takes about 45 min that includes re-assemble, the original inserts are held on by two phillips head screws when you remove them the inserts pop out hand form the wire mesh and use the original clip you will see what I am talking about when you do this it will help keep the mesh down in place. Personally I preferd using a hot glue gun with all of the mesh on my bike because it will heat up to a higher melting point then a lot of the appoxies your hardware or auto parts store has and will flex also. Its a pretty easy job all in all, if you want me to post some pics of the end results I can.
