Big question is simple: how much do you feel like being hassled?

If something is the least bit off it gives a cop a reason to stop you. If you have regular run ins with the law, anything to give you cause to worry when pulled over, you're giving an invitation to be stopped. And most cops will just write the ticket and let the court decide if it was justified. I'm legal and tend to be a real *** to cops that stop me for no reason. But I'm also prepared to go to court and thoroughly enjoy running the cop thru the ringer cause I'm legal.

In court, likely to lose everytime with those plate mounts.

"The plate must be at least 18" above the ground, be centrally located and mounted horizontally. The plate must be rigidly mounted and clearly visible from any angle behind the motorcycle. This means that plates mounted forward of the rear wheel, or on either side of the motorcycle, are in violation of the law. And, if a plate is mounted on a pivoting hanger it is also in violation of this vehicle code. The first time violation of this code is a fine of $1,141.00. The second infraction costs $2,500.00, the third costs $5,000 and loss of motorcycle license endorsement for 10 years."
thats what i found online about florida law.
i also read that in all states the license plate must read from left to right. which upsets me cause i wanted to put mine vertically.. oh well

got nailed on all those for a vertical swingarm mounted tag with lighting plus $1000 wheelie ticket cause front tire came up while getting out of the way of the drunk chick in suv who was coming over on me.did I add she still clipped me in the tail section.
