CBR RR 1000 ENGINE ON 600RR FRAME

RE: CBR RR 1000 ENGINE ON 600RR FRAME
With some modifications, any engine would fit. But that chassis was NEVER designed to cope with anything other than the power output of the engine it was designed for. That chassis will have no idea what to do with the extra power and torque from the bigger engine. But that's just my two cents on the matter. Why you ask?

RE: CBR RR 1000 ENGINE ON 600RR FRAME
Thanks and I know what you are saying is so true, but the sale and purchase is usually much easier said than done. Plus, I have a 1000RR engine already from a salvaged/wrecked bike. If I can make it fit (even with some monor mods) I was going to throw it on. I have a shop that will do it for free if it will fit. If it will fit, I will give it a shot. I am not sure if anyone else has ever done this on a Honda. I know the R6/R1 and GSXR frames are relatively easier to swap out.
Thanks for you guys input

Hi Matthew,
Please take a moment and pop over to the new member area to introduce yourself to the forum.
Where are you from, how long have you been on two wheels, what bikes do you have etc.
We also love pictures.
Just a heads up, but you have just responded to a thread that is 13 years old and the OP has not been on the site since 2008!!
Cheers
Al
