Default 1000 Engine on 600 Frame

Has anyone heard of this being done? I have an 07 600rr and I am looking to put a 1000 engine on it. I have heard everything from conversion kits being available to actually drilling holes (for bolts) through the frame....any thoughts?

sell the 600 and buy the 1000....

seems pointless to me on a brand new bike... just trade me bikes and then swap it

That would be an option, but I locked up the engine on the 600. I need to buy a new engine anyway...so I was thinking why not 1000

If there is a conversion kit that would be the way to go, drilling on these frames is a no no unless you want to be like the gsxr n break at any giving point.

I dont wanna know how you locked up a 07 engine, but best bet is get another 600 engine n fix it right.

I agree with fixing it the right way. You'd have difficulty selling it with a 1000rr engine vs. a newer 600 engine. More questions would pop up and you could lose potential buyers (if you were to sell it, that is...)

I doubt your frame is going to be wide enough. Measure the inside of your frame. I'll measure mine for ya and you can compare. If you want to take measurements of all the engine mounts, I can do that too, just let me know.

Even if you could fit and mount the engine correctly, there is still one huge problem...that chassis is designed to handle the power output of the 600RR...that chassis wouldn't know WTF was going on with all the extra power.
