Default Akropovic help

Has anyone put on the new Akropovic Ti Hex full system on a 07/08 CBR6ooRR? Did it need a power commander?

you will probably want a power commander with a full system. You won't "need" one but it will runbit lean which isn't good.

I'd also suggest going with the "race" and not the evo. The only difference is that one has header pipes made with ti and the other stainless. It's only a weight advantage of 1.6 lbs and thats it. $500 difference.

So $1800 for a system, $320 for a pciii, $500 for dynotuning, $2600 after tax money for a few HP, a few less poundsand a little more sound? Sounds like a bargain. It is hard to believe everyone hasn't done this to their bike.

i only spent $1,400 on the evolution system, but i got it at a rediculous discount. i ordered it several weeks before they got to the U.S. and the company that sold it to me kinda got in trouble for selling it that cheap. they are now selling for about $1,560 or so, but at the time i bought it $1,800 was about average for it.

i was just telling my friend the funny thing is i spent all that money making the bike lighter and a little bit more powerful, but i could lose about 50lbs and help it even more

(and installation of aftermarket parts) read the whole sentence before replying

the dyno and fuel mapping was like $250 or so

I picked up my full Akrapovic system (SS/TI) for $910 shipped. PCIII for $269. And BMC race filter for $70. Installed everything myself, saved a bundel. Running a generic map right now, but I've been quoted $312 OTD for a custom map, won't be long.
