600rr engine swap
Has anyone tried putting a 1000rr engine into a 600rr chassis? If so, did it work and what mods were made? Don't need the smart remarks, but I love the idea of sleepers and I don't like being like everyone else. So if you don't agree, PLEASE keep your response to your self. This question is only for those who have tried or ever thought of doing the swap. Thanks

Well I do not know for sure BUt I tried looking some stuff up on it for you and what I have found is that yes it is possible and It varies on how its done with the bike.. I did not find anything on the 600rr directly but they say that even once you get it in that the weight may be a concern. Not too sure mna hope that helps a little

Ive looked too but I am not worried about the few extra pounds. Everybody always voices their opinion, but then they add nitrous or turbo to a bike and add that much more hp and torque thats rated higher than the factory built it for and they are still fine, so a little more weight isn't going to hurt anything, in my opinion. If I had "first hand proof" instead of opinionated assumptions, then I could jump on that band wagon, but until then, I would be interested in any info on any of these CBR swaps. Ive personally put 1000 motors into the gsxr600 and 750 chassis' with no problems. The two rear motor mounts in both gsxr6 and gsxr750 instances were direct bolt ins, but the two upper mounts needed brackets and in the 600 chassis it needed a little grinding with the brackets. But that is when I was on the gsxr bandwagon, so now that I want to come back home to Honda, I was curious as to if anyone else has tried it. The weight made absolutely no difference in those chassis' but the power/torque difference was unbelievable.

this mod would be very very difficult as the engine mounts are wider than the 600rr so fram modifications would be needed. if you are looking for just more engine, a tail back turbo may be the way you want to look, but honestly i built my RR and it is comparable to a 750 with the weight i dropped and the work that i have done. ill try and pull up the vid of the roll ons we did. HP isnt everything, my bike has less HP than the 750, but the weight to power ratio is better and the fact my weight loss was done in the smart places (rotational mass)
