I would still be cheaper to buy a 1000rr. You'd have to custom make, fabricateor buy SO many parts, even if you used 1000rr frame you'll come out behind what you would just picking up a cheap 1000rr.

RE: 600 to 1000 conversion
To do it the right way I'd say around $4000 - $5000 all said & done with the little issues worked out or maybe $2000 - $3000 if you have full access to a machine & fab shop, add that to the $2000 you already spent on the 600rr. And this time of the year you can pick up a nice 06-07 1000rr for between $6000 - $7000 if you're patient and you'll be ready to go. But you should be able to find a good 600rr motor that will drop in for $500 - $1000.Thenyou should be able to sell the 1000rr motor for about the same and the frame for another$500 or so. You tell me which will be cheaper in the end? I've done enough motor conversion in the past ten years to know that with modern frames, it not just as simple as making a couple of motor adaptor plates, welding them in and bolting the new motor in.
Now if you said you were doing itjust because &costs be damned then I'd be saying go for it.

IF every single frame hole bolted up the same place
and the engine dimensions were the same
and the ecu and wiring harness and all the sensors were the same
it would bolt in
it was like putting the zx9 motors in a zx7
that supposedly wasnt that hard because the only thing that was different was the engine pistons.
now with our bikes every place that the mounting points are different you are going to have to spend the money to do the R&D, engineering, and fabrication of a bracket that not only fits but is strong enough to hold everything up.
i have both bikes. the dimensions are way too different
but with enough money and know how anything is possible
