1999 Cbr600 f4 airbox delete
That's a pretty good indicator they need some attention. You will need to separate each one, removing all that you can from each individual carb. You will likely need to spray and soak them with carb cleaner to get the jets freed. After you have them totally broken down the carb bodies have to be soaked and compressed air blasted through each one. You will likely need to do this multiple times to get them clean. Do the same with the jets. Keep carb cleaner away from all the o-rings and such. I would just replace them while you have it apart.
I like to keep everything segregated to the carb of which it was removed but I don't know that it is a requirement. The carbs have to be absolutely spotless. Three are several threads on here showing people doing this. Also there are lots of youtube videos showing how to do it. It can be an intimidating task when you start because all of the parts. But it's pretty simple actually. It's just tedious.

I shall dig into the engine then
Ok disregard the arrows.. but do you see the 4 4mm tubes at the bottom of the airbox.. should i connect those to my pod filters to simulate it as an airbox or do i leave it tubeless?
I see the tubes. I'm not sure if you should or not. I don't have any personal experience going without an airbox. I would suggest to try it both ways if you can't find your answer archived here someplace.
Ok.. i was just asking cuz idk if those play a role with the carb functionality..
