What are velocity stacks ?
err..these are the black(i think) conical shape air funnel near ur injectors..Total no 4 of them. 2 short and 2 longer ones..After market v stacks offer shorter than oem. From wat i understand..it helps to shorten time taken for the filtered air into ur combustion chamber.
erm..dis is juz my 2 cents worth..not exactly sure anyway..LOL!!
Ohhh wise men out there pls enlighten me if I'm wrong..

Those are the black runners that provide each cylinder with fresh air. The length is tuned to resonate at certain rpm ranges. As the valves close and open, acoustic waves are produced in the runners. The correct length will get the air mixture to boost through the open valve when the wave returns from the top of the intake runner. The shorter lengths correspond to higher end because the engine is reciprocating faster... less time for the speed of sound to run up and down the runner...
Also, ever hear of variable runner lengths run by high end mercedes and F1 cars? The runner length is adjusted according to RPM range to obtain maximum fuel in each cylinder
