Safety first. Go through it and check everything to make sure it's safe to ride. Do all of the adjustments and change all of the fluids. Get the suspension dialed in for your weight and riding needs.

After that, you can play with changing the exhaust, fuel mapping, and making it look like you want it to. Aftermarket mods are endless...

I've already gone through all the maintenance on the
Bike, just wondering about things like adding a power commander and things like that. This is my first fuel injected bike so not to knowledgeable in that arena.

You can certainly put a power commander on it (have it dyno tuned), change the exhaust. and change the sprockets to make gains.

However, the 1000rr is wicked fast already. Your biggest gains will be in proper set-up and riding technique.

It's already had the sprockets changed and has a Jardine slip on on it. I've never ran a power commander or or anything like it before.

That's because you've never had a FI bike before. There are no jets to change, so it must be tweaked electronically.

The bike already does a lot of things well. Ride it until you notice something you want to work better. Otherwise, make cosmetic changes.

Lots of people do the "PAIR" and "Intake Flapper Mods". I don't think my 4 month old Blade has it. I thought I heard some popping on my trackday this weekend, but that could have been someone behind me, as I didn't hear it except twice - but it was really close to me. PAIR resolves exhaust pops. Intake Flapper gets better intake sound and IIRC 2-3 horses.
