RE: VELOCITY STACKS?
Yes, OEM 2006 Velocity stacks areshowing some good gains on 2004/2005 bikes with some mapping and dyno time. They can really fatten up your mid range. I know of one guy who custom made a set (cut 2 and used all 4 "long" stacks) then custom mapped it on his dyno, tuning each cylinder seperate, and saw a gain of up to 11hp!
The avg. guy with a straight swap and remapping can expect about 3hp.

RE: VELOCITY STACKS?
Something to consider. Do you need 11hp from velocity stacks? Are you getting spanked that bad? Get a pc3, a slipon, k&nand havethe pc3mapped to your bike. That's all you'll need and it wont cost you an arm and a leg. After that if you aren't keeping up with the pack you might want to consider entering your 1000cc into a 250cc grand prix to feel like you've accomplished something. Sorry if I sound like a D!ck but I worked on a guys 05 600rr saturday and he insisted that ithe wanted tobreak 200 and his bike wasn't fast enough.I put a k&n filter in it and mapped his pc3 for him. Sunday he hit a truck head on at 90+ while passing 2 cars in a turn and died. Yeah I know not everybody is stupid enough to try a stunt like that but it all comes down to the point I made earlier do you need to go that fast? I'm just looking out for you guys that truely enjoy the sport of riding and hope that you can continue to do it for many years to come.
