Default Sprocket instalation

Last summer I bought a front sprocket(-1 in front).
I didn't installed it yet due to not having a speedo healer.

will me installing the sprocket without the speedo healer affect my speedometer a lot?

How easy is it to install it?
I read on this forum that they are supposed to go in a certain way if you plan on cahngin the chain and rear?
what about if I just change the front?is it just unbolt it and slap it on?

Its relatively easy if you're somewhat mechanically inclined. Check this out:

At this point though, I wouldn't change just a sprocket. Chains and sprockets should be changed together as wear on one will cause premature wear on the other. I'd wait until its time to get a new chain.
