Default replacement tires

hello everyone. i recently had a spill and did about 2g's worth of damage, some of which is a bent rear rim plus a trashed rear tire. i was looking into replacing the rear tire with a 200/50 instead of a 190/50. has anyone accomplished this? is this possible without any mods? thanks.

Why would you want to go to a bigger tire? For looks?

It will handle better with a 190, and even better than that with a 180. I used to have a ZX-12 that came originally with a 200, and I went down to a 190 and it was a big difference. A few of my friends actually run 180's on their track liter bikes.

very interesting, i would've never have guessed that. you see performance cars with fat rear tires and econo cars with the smaller ones, hence my conculsion. however, i have never applied my theory.

Yea the smaller tires turn easier, leaning angle increases and they are easier to flick back and fourth. If you were into wheelies and drag racing the wider tire would be better, but not for twisties.
