Ordered my friend a PCIII for his 06 CBR 1000RR. i was on ebay and i did not pay attention to exactly what i had ordered, there for i ordered the on for the 08,09, 10. will the wire harness still work or is it a waste of time?

 

This *shouldn't* work for the 06 model. They give you those years because of the injector clips change every so often (and so do the ECUs). You can try and see if it will work but pretty sure it won't.
