Got 'er done. My 08 CBR 1000
In order to remove the passenger pegs, I had removed all the rear plastics. I honestly found removal of the tailpiece to be a bit harder than getting the undertail placed correctly. You have to bend the stock tailpiece a bit to pull it over the seat lock, and I feared snapping it. (Yeah - you can probably get the lock assembly off before removing the tail, but there's not a lot of room in there for the right-sized tool.)
Once everything was back in place and I was installing the Hotbodies undertail, things went pretty smoothly. I did have to trim up the supplied plastic brakelight brackets to get everything to fit nicely, but a few seconds with a Dremel tool was all it needed. There was some more bending and grunting required to get that last corner tucked in, but it's all tight now.
My only complaint is that the rear of the tail plastics aren't attached to the subframe anymore. The stock undertail bolted to both the subframe and tail cowl (if I remember correctly) making it pretty secure. The new undertail clips to the stock tailpiece, but there's no secure attachment point to the subframe at the rear. It's not a very big deal, but I wonder what will happen if I swap the rear cowl for the passenger seat and put the weight of a pretty, young lady on it?

Man I cant stop thinking about how much the yellow and black scheme makes me think of bumble bee from transformers.. I like the scheme a lot.. I got the red/black because my last bike was bright yellow... I needed a little change..
Man, your bike is a beaut!!! Looks like the one at the top of the forums.
Just have her hold on to something - tight!
I think the Honda pads are more to protect the tank rather than provide much extra grip. If you're really into dragging your knees, you might want something else.
She looks wicked good............wow
S'how it goes man ...........the other woman and all lol
Also, I have to slow down on the purchases lest the wife make me sleep with the bike.
