Default exhaust

i have kinda a wierd question, i was at the dealer looking at pipes for my 06, the guys suggested that i wrap or jst coat my header instead of doing an exhaust ! i was kinda blown away with that has anybody done this or heard about this ? i looked into it and its only like 30 bucks to go buy some header tape with a cermaic coating and about 250 for the jet coating and i lose the bike for a couple days ! i wanted to get your input before i do anything

I don't see how wrapping your headers will decrease the resrtiction of air flow or increase power. It will only keep heat from dissipating.

I say get a slip on pipe.

Header wrap will help move the exhust out of your system faster but you won't be able to feel any horsepower gain. It will also make your headers brital because they cant cool down like they need to. For a street bike I suggest the slip on because the wrap might give you only 1 extra horsepower and lets face it you are looking for more than that.
