you get a 18" extension attach it to a 1" or larger metal drill bit and push it into the back of the pipe (each side) until you feel it hit the baffle
then drill through
i did it with the bike running so the exhaust would push the metal shavings out the back
as they come loose
it definetly makes a difference in sound because when i had my stock drilled out exhaust dynoed for a baseline the operator told me that he thought it was a stock pipe but it sounded different
