Best Chain? Sprocket?

Best Chain? Sprocket?
It's about time for me to replace my chain (almost 12,000 miles now) and I am going to do a 520 conversion (-1 in front).
-What is the best chain to get? DID? RK? and why?
-Whats the best sprocket? I heard that I should stay away from Vortex.
-Last question- Where is the best place to get this at the best price?
Thanks in advance!

RE: Best Chain? Sprocket?
thanks for the advice!
After visiting DID's Website, I decided to go with the 520, ZVM2. I am not on the racetrack, so I am sure this will suit me just fine.
I can not wait until it gets in. I am a little nervous that I will think it is geared too low now, but I am trusting everyone elses opinion of -1,+1. I will let you know what I think once I get it installed

You will like it. I plan on -1 +2 on my 07 1000rr. I had it on my F4i before I stunted it out and it was a great all around set up. I have read that the DID chains are the way to go too. I may have to order a set while the bikes getting painted. Let us know what you think.

RE: Best Chain? Sprocket?
I have just completed my conversion. I have only put about 15 miles on it, but I like the difference. I was really concerned about hiway riding, but I really didn't notice that much of a difference (I haven't installed my speedohealer yet, so I am not sure if that will change my opinion)
First gear seems smoother and easier to control the amount of gas and "umph" I want to give the bike. Is that normal or is that just my imagination? I can't wait to get some more "fun" miles on the bike with my new gearing.
One other thing- I thought I was going up one in back, but I found out that stock gearing on the '06-07 is 42. I am really glad I didn't order the 41!

2nd GEAR IS A BLAST! I am really glad I did this conversion!
My friend has the exact same bike (06 1kRR) and just did the same thing. I have a speedo healer and he doesn't (yet).
We were riding side by side and his speedo said 79mph, but we were only going 70, so a speedo healer is a must for anyone dropping a tooth in the front.
Also, in case anyone was wondering, 70 mph will have you right about 5k rpm in sixth. I do a lot of highway riding and I honestly prefer the slightly higher rpms (above 5k also means that the bike is charging)
Anyway, I highly reccommend this to anyone who hasn't done it. This simple mod really increases the fun factor on the bike! Even if you don't do the 520 conversion, spend $30 and drop a tooth in the front.
