I started taking my bike apart today but I couldnt get the battery/computer tray out.

Any pointers? Im going to continue working on it tomorrow.

As long as you have them off, you should consider installing Sato Street Hooks in their place. These look sharp, give you a tie-down spot, and let you easily reinstall the pegs should that hot neighbor want a ride.

It's attached to the coolant reservoir. It won't pull out on the 08 like some say.

I just took the subframe off. Im powder coating all of my silver parts black.
Maybe once spring finally gets here I can take some photos and make a run for bike of the month...

let me know how that looks man. I want to powder coat my rear pegs black, but i just bought new black levers, and black vortex rearsets. Im going for the same idea yo u have so that my silver fairings really pop. It should look pretty sick

Default rear pegs

I removed pegs from my 08
At same time,installed under tail. Kill two birds with one stone. Is no easy way.one down fall: no pegs/no chick. Hard decision

I didn't find removing the passenger pegs a hard decision...my chick rides her own bike. I removed the pegs at the same time I had the rear plastic off for an Evotech undertail install. The kit is not as clean as some, but it met my criteria for no cutting of plastic, no altering the wiring harness, and legal placement of tag with lighting. It may not be as pretty, but I don't get hassled.

thanks for the info, i dont know how but i have never seen the street hooks for my bike. looks like i will be ordering some
