2009 honda cbr 1000 akrapovic evolution
Just got the full 4-2-1 evolution exhaust and WOW is all I can say. I wanted a little more loudness so I took the baffle out. The bike absolutely screams under WOT, and has a nice mean sound at low RPMs. Between the full system and the powercommaderV the bike is scary fast - the front end comes up way too easily.
were you able to install the plastic cover on the bottom to cover the pipe plumbing? do you have any pics of what the evo exhaust looks like on your bike? i was looking at a taylor made exhaust and your pic will be my determining factor since both make good hp.
Sorry for the late response, but I'm not sure what the shop did in regards to the plastic cover (a local dealer did it for me). I cannot see the pipe plumbing as there is plastic over it yes, so I assume that they did install it. I feel it is the best exhaust, hands down you should go with it I promise there will be no regrets. The only pics I currently have are from pre-installation. I will take some later and post-em up.
I HIGHLY recommend this system
Also, in regards to power, there was indeed a night and day difference (I got a PCV as well). Between the pipe, PCV, and weight reduction from the pipe it is EXTREMELY hard to keep the front end on the ground.
Go for it.

Im looking at going towards the carbon fiber Akrapovic Evo exhaust now. I like the look and I know the sound is awesome. From what I read, besides your post, it cranks up the horses also. If you can find out where the guy that installed your system got the piping heat shield i would greatly appreciate it. The bike looks a hellova lot better with the heat shield installed.
