Yeah mine is insanely loud, but the new dual x-cone plus' are quieter. If you can find a dual x-cone (not plus) IMHO they are the best looking and sounding cans available for our bikes. You can hear mine on my youtube vids in my sig. You really have to hear them in person though. Its so loud it makes my ears ring after like 10 minutes if I don't wear hearing protection.

I rode my friends '05 1000rr yesterday and it had the hotbodies exhaust. IT IS FRIGGIN LOUUUUUUD!!!!! My ears were ringing after 5 minutes of riding around town. When at a stop light I couldn't hear myself talk when I was trying to talk to my friend, and he couldn't hear me! It did sound mean as hell though and looked very slick with the undertail. Defiantley not for me though. Did I mention it was LOUDDDDDDD

So you're running what? ... a 37 on the rear? Should make for 5 minute 1/4 miles Sorry, couldn't resist ...

Loud ... hmmm, I'm running 2Bros CF on an '04 1kRR and I get pulled by the po-po for doing absolutely nothing at least 6 times a year. The "illegal" factor is nullified because most states don't have a lawyer proof muffler law. But the cops still detain you and unnecessary attention drawn to yourself with the "loud factor". Plus, if they're out to make $$$ you'll get a ticket -- even if it's 69 in a 55 ... don't ask how I know
