Rough bearing feels when releasing the clutch
I'M Wondering if anybody had this problem or would know wich bearing causes this. When I release the clutch lever you can hear and feel that there is a rough bearing through the whole bike.
are you talkin about in neutral? the 929/954 have a "loud" clutch basket if u wanna call it that. does it disappear when u pull the clutch in? if so and the clutch is not slipping then dont worry bout it.....
so is this normal then? my 954 does the same thing- been that way for a few years. You can hear it while riding but its quiet. I was told it was a input shaft bearing. Sounds like a "throw out bearing" and acts the same as a car would. The sound goes away when the clutch is pulled because there is pressure on the worn bearing and it takes up the tolerance; when released it rattles/grinds and makes a wurring sound. So is this "NORMAL" ? im confused
Does ur 954 ride and act the same as it has been for the last few years???? if so then i wouldnt concern myself wit that unless it really affects the bike....mine has been noisy since i bought it in 05. at about 29000 miles and my bike only "broke down" when i ran outta gas.....once. until she doesnt fire up on the first try quickly and doesnt run then ill concern myself wit repair. i just replace the oil and wash it.....
