Default wheel tape

Is a b**** to get off. I recommend a heat gun, kerosene and toothbrush to get the gummy stuff off, plastic scraper and an act of God. The heat gun makes life so much easier. A hair dryer dosent have the heat to cut it. A metal scrapper with screw up and gouge your rims.

You can pick up a heat gun for 22 bucks from Lowes or Home Depo.

I posted this as just a heads up because I had to use good old fashioned google and trial and error when I took mine off a few weeks ago.

Odd, I had no trouble whatsoever getting it off. Maybe the PO put the cheaper, thinner stuff on the wheels but after I used the heat gun it was enough to pull it off by hand in one swoop with minimal glue. I think the key is in the target heat, too hot and the glue melts runny and not enough it stays stuck on the metal. Any thing that was on there I took a metal scour pad to just the lip of the rim ( I am painting the wheels anyway).
