Default bike wont start in gear.

so ill be riding in town and will stall because my bike is still acting up with the throttle because the carbs still need synced. I have to put the bike back into neutral and then start it again. i was wondering if this is normal or is something wrong.

kick stand is up because ill be riding, also the bike does not stall when put into gear at all unless the stand is down so im guessing its something to do with the clutch

look for wires going into the pivot point of the clutch lever.

If you have a multimeter check to see that the switch opens and closes and that will determine if the switch itself is bad. If not then you'll need to look elsewhere.

Just make damn sure you have the clutch pulled in when you hit the starter switch. It's there for safety. But, I'm sure you know that much. Just wanted to throw caution out there. Also, if you race, some tracks will check for the safety switches working correctly before letting you on a track.
