anyone have this issue...my gas light is stuck on....i have a full tank and its still on....can't figure it out lifted the tank and nothing looks disconnected...

 

can ya drain and top it off again to see if it goes away ?

 

I have the manual for the 2004 to 2006 cbr1000rr. Fuel reserve sensor - Fuel reserve indicator does not go off : Lift and support fuel tank. Disconnect the fuel pump unit 3P (black) connector. Turn the ignition switch ON and check the fuel reserve indicator. If the indicator goes off, replace the fuel pump unit. If the indicator is still on, check for short circuit in Brown/black wire between the fuel pump unit connector and the combination meter. I hope this helps. Sounds like the float is in the fuel pump unit. You might shake or bump the fuel pump unit, float might be stuck and hopefully if you unstick it, it won't stick again. Good luck!!
