Angry Taking advantage

This year I bought a new motad exhaust for my cbr 1000 fj. Bearing in mind I am retired and living on a uk pension. The previous owner of my bike had welded the original collector box up it was leak proof but very heavy. So I changed it. Thinking I could help some one out. I put the old one on a local free site called Derbyfreegle. 5 people asked for it so I gave it to a guy called steve cross who said his lad was building a flat tracker. Today its on ebay with a starting price of £9.99. And he is registered as a business seller. I shall not give any thing else away.

Just to reiterate. The ebay item no is 360243273600. The listing desciption is false. He got it from me this week on derbyfreegle@yahoo.co.uk On the pretence it was for his son "who is building a flat tracker with a Honda frame and a Suzuki engine". Any help in stopping this sale would be really appreciated.

What would someone want with a CBR1000 exhaust when building a flat tracker? Is it possible that there was a mis-communication and what he was getting at was that he would sell the part to get a few bux to help build the flat tracker?

Probably not I know...I just like to thinkn the best of folks first is all.

Yeah, that sucks when you're trying to help a fellow biker out with some parts and they are only in it to make a buck off you.
Not cool.

I'm sure he would argue that it's none of your business what he does with the parts if you're gonna give them away, but it doesn't mean he isn't a butthead, or that someone could have really used that exhaust.

It wouldn't surprise me one bit to find that all 5 of the inquiries you had were looking to do the same thing with it, tho. It happens all the time.
Sorry to hear it, tho.

measure .........or Steve C you could hatch such a diabolical plan locally yourself

Put up a question on e-Bay - sometimes they come up in the post.
I'd just ask him for it back if he's not going to use it. Wot a ****** !
