exhaust
G'day. It may reduce the performance of your engine. The manufacturers design them at a certain length to harmonise the exhaust gas pulses with the cam timing. So shortening it may reduce you performance unless you tune around it. I'm not a mechanic, but I don't think it will damage your engine unless it creates a too lean fuel air mixture. If you make the mod, I'd certainly suggest you have it dyno tuned correctly.

Q pretty much summed it up ..
Just ripping in and taking pieces out of exhausts can put an engine out of tune...
As a rule mod an exhaust , re tune...,
You can make a simple test by just checking plug color before and after....
It is an easy way to see if it has made much difference..
