air filter on f4i
one of the most easiest things to do...it is located under the tank, in the filter box
1-take off the 2 front, and 2 backbolts that hold the tank(remove the seat for that), do not remove the tank, just lift it up.
2. you'll gonna see the filter cover, wich is hold in place by 10-11 screws(remove them also)., and also unplug the sensor on the top of the cover(small white sensor)
3. and there you go-you can see the filter right now.
if you have an oem air filter, you can clean it with a blower.
the best way to check if it's still in good condition, take a lamp and put the filter on the top of the lamp, if you see light comming thru the filter, then it's still good.
if you have an aftermarket one like k&n, or bmc then you can wash it.
i hope this helped you

I wouldn't waste time blowing out the stock one. I'd just replace it. Either with a clean OEM or aftermarket paper filter or upgrade to teh K&N or BMC. imo why waste the time taking a dirty filter out, and putting a dirty one back in. They're cheap enough to just replace. (paper filters)

With a aftermarket filter you need a power commander if you also have a slip on, correct?
