These things arn't designed to stay cool idling in the driveway. TK954RR 05-14-2008, 08:26 PM Yes but the fan should kick on and keep it from overheating. If your fans not kicking on you have a problem. Lrn2Go 05-15-2008, 02:47 PM +1 to the fans issue. Make sure there's no air in your coolant system as well. Temperature while cruising at a steady speed should be around 170-190... The temp will QUICKLY rise, on my bike, to 220ish in stop and go traffic or at stoplights, even on a cool day. Same here...170-195 or so while riding....stop for any length of time and in the 200's....when I get to my house I'll let it idle while taking off my lid and gloves etc and it will almost always go to 220 plus (fan kicks in) Normal?
