Default 05 600RR is running HOTT

Just got the bike back from a local dealer that did an 8K Mile service. some of the things they did were oil change synched throttle bodies, added coolant, checked coolant system, adjusted clutch, etc. Before the bike ran between 70 and 90 degrees depending on traffic. I saw the temp at just over 180 before I pulled over and shut it down. Is this something that normally happens after a service? What could be causing the temp of the bike to be so high? The bike didnt feel any different than normal as far as heat from the engine. I dont know, at this point I am confused and frustrated.

After doing some research I found that this is a normal temp so Im not too worried anymore. Now I am wondering why the bike never got this hot before the 8K service. THe fans always kicked on at 105 or 106.

The fan kicks on at 219 or something like that. Are you totally positive you weren't looking at the clock by accident? !80 is about the lowest mine gets.

Im positive. The highest temp my bike got before the service work was 110. The temp starts at 35 and works its way up from there.

Well something wasn't reading right before the service. There is no way normal opp temp would be 70 - 90 degrees unless your talking celsius perhaps. Not sure what 70 celsius would translate to in farenheit.

35 c = 95 f
70 c = 158 f
90 c = 194 f
100 c = 212 f
110 c = 230 f

sounds like maybe it was reading in celsius

I had a service way back, different bike, dealer replaced oil, and so on, but replaced with only undiluted coolant (not premixed either).
Sucked the radiator reserve dry, and temp still hit the red zone. worth considering?

Slopoke is definately speaking in Celsius terms because those are the temps my bike runs at and my thermometer is in celsius.

Hey slo, I'm having the same problem. Bike usually runs somewhere in the 80s, and highest I recall it getting was 110. Then I had some problems with it, took it apart and put it back together (ended up being a loose battery terminal). Now it runs really hot, even on cool nights. Thermometer starts to flash around 122 degrees and the malfunction indicator light came on at 126 the other day. Fan never kicked in. I have no clue what's going on. I'm gonna have to have my buddy take a look at it, but if you figure out something let me know.
