How long before I can track ride?
I'm assuming suits are a must for the track. This will be my first bike/first season. How long goes it usually take before one can ride on the track without screwing everything up. Do they offer beginner track days or something?
Most trackday org will section riders by skill/ experience. If you encounter one that doesn't RUN FAR AND FAST.
Read the rule on the specific org as most will allow a 360 degree 2-piece suit. Some even allow mesh types (can't recall the specific brand). But Highly recommend a 1pc. Most 2pc suits don't have the ventilation, but they're better if you want to use it on the street. I rock my 1pc on the street sometimes, but I get weird stares when I stop in CVS or McD's.

as Jaybird said, a good trackday org will have a group for novices. Even then, most orgs require/strongly suggest at least a year of riding experience before getting on the track. The idea is that you need a basic sense of how to ride a motorcycle and the basic do's and don'ts. There has to be some level of confort going fast on a sportbike because that will be what your doing.
I think, in general, a year of riding is a good rule of thumb.
