1987 cbr600 getting it running.
Hello all!
I today, purchased a 87 hurricane and I am looking for advice to get it running.
Overall it looks in good condition, the wheels have been removed, along with the tank and fairings, but all appears to be there.
I was planning to change the oil, oil filter, spark plugs, air filter, and coolant and then see if it turns over. If it does I was going to chuck some fuel in and see if it fires.
Its been sat for 5 years, so while its got all the parts removed is there anything else I should do/check.
Many thanks in advance.

It's very likely that you'll have to strip and thoroughly clean the carbs.
Also, check the age and condition of the tyres.
Best of luck with the refurb, any chance of some photos whilst you're at it :-)

Hi, i will grab some pictures when i can! in relation to the carbs i was told when the previous owner brought it in, he turned the fuel off and let it run until it cut out, so im hoping the carbs arnt too bad. are there any manuals for cleaning the carbs?
