my 96 f3 doesnt have a light on my license plate. can i get a ticket for that? is it required by law to have a lighted license plate??? some please let me know so i can avoid a ticket and get it handled asap... thanks guys

 

California definitely does require a plate light.

Yeah I believe they're required in all states, haven't had mine for about 2 years but luckily since I live in Illinois the police aren't ***** about bikers like they are in some other states so I haven't had any problems.

you also have to have a reflector on the rear. but the cvc doesn't have a size so you can get those little round reflectors or a strip of red reflector tape and put that at the bottom of your license plate frame/cover.
