Default Oil question for the dedicated track bikes

Hey fellas, quick question. I've just recently built an 08 600RR track bike and had some concerns about the oil. Does everybody here use the recommended 10-30? My question is what oil do you use if you know the bike will hardly ever see below 10K rpm. Factory specs or a heavier oil? I am currently using royal purple 10-40 m/c oil and just wondered what everybody else uses as far as oil/filter combo in their track bike (not street/track bike). Thanks in advace.

Repsol 10W40 in the track/race bike, stock filter.

You can save a few bucks by switching to a car oil, even if you increase your drain intervals. I would do an filter change and then oil change at whatever interval you decide.

Cost isn't so much of a concern as the is the weight. Wasn't sure if 10W40 was too heavy. Thanks for the input.
