Actually its spelled Dampner, Dampener, and Damper. Alot of companies spell it differently but who really cares.

There is only one correct spelling for this item and on that note, apparently there arealot of companies existing that eithercan't spell or don't know what a "damper" reallyis.
And since I can appreciate education I'd only buy from the company that spells it correctly--> d-a-m-p-e-r.
The word "dampen" or the phrase "dampen down" is about the only time an "N" can be used with regards to describing the function of a damper....anything else and it's just "wet" or horribly misspelled.
calm down guys geeze.. i saw a piston dampner attached to a f4i today and the guy said it was from a GSXR and i was wonderin how hard that would be to do?

Anyways, just wondering, for those who use a Scotts Steering "STABILIZER", what settings do you guys use??? I'm factory setting for the high speed and about 15 clicks counter clockwise from fully locked.

You can fab almost anything to work and most rotary style stabilizers just need the correct mounting hardware to swap between bikes. I like the GPR but i've never used a piston style. The Scotts just has way too many adjustments and i'm by no means a suspension expert. my .02

I like to set different adjustments when riding. Sometimes I need it stiff as hell and sometimes just a bit so the GPR quick 6-8 adjustments is great. Just my opinion. I hear it's one of the best stabilizers out there but I like GPR. Do they only make it in gold?
