learning to wheelie
For about the past 2 weeks or so I've been getting the "I wanna wheelie" bug. Last week I got some instructions from a few locals guys I ride with. Earlier today I took all the fairings off my 94 F2. Went out tonite to practice some sit downs. My bro in law Chris told me how to clutch it up and wanted me to try it in 2nd. Things didn't go so well, at most, I'd say the front wheel came up only a few inches off the ground. Dropped my sessions down to 1st and a world of difference. After all was said and done, I probably got about 5 or so good ones in where the wheel came about 2+ feet off the ground and kept it going for about 15 feet. Then it started to thunder and lightning on us so we bailed.
Does anyone else have any problems clutching up in 2nd? I changed the rear sprockett out to a 51 tooth recently and didn't think I'd have much problems getting it up on 2nd. I asked my bro in law to play on it, but he didn't want to for fear of having to bail and something happening to the bike as I don't have a cage on it yet.

2nd will naturally make it harder to bring up... its all in your clutching technique. Youll have to give it quite a bit more gas at the same speed in second compared to first... its like trying to push a small wheel compared to a big wheel if you know what I mean...
