curiousity ?
So i tried a wheelie for the first time yesterday ( have been riding street 10+ years) and i always read that when you get high / close to where you want to be (sitdown) that you will see your windshield and if too high your gauges. Anyhow im 6'2" do any of you taller guys still see over your shield at floating point ? or i guess a better question may be at my height should i not use that as a referance point?
if you're at bp in a sitdown you won't be able to see over the windshield (i'm sf and i can't see). you'll just have to lean to one side and look.
just take baby steps, learn to be smooth with the throttle, learn the rear brake and you'll be fine.

ya what err said. you will know when you are where you want to be by the sound of the motor. it will just sound like its idleing (sp) at a high rpm. im five foot seven. when im cruising a sit down im looking right the front bolts for the tank. if you mean still see over the bike, you are not where you wanna be... that should pretty much go from short to tall people.
Thanks guys, i am not looking to stunt or anything like that, heck may never wheelie again lol. I know i was no where near bp just past the point where it got real light real fast, and i could still see clearly so i was curious, maybe my form was horrible lol. Had a friend take a pic since it was my first time trying, took it on the way up, told me it was about a foot higher and i could still see good. Now that i looked at a few other pics i can see what you mean about tall would not matter. Anyhow thanks for the replies, i appreciate it.

that use to be the one wheelie i was scared to learn becuase you couldnt see. but once you get em, they are way more fun to ride idle on than ss or staggered. im still learning to steer them.
