Default RE: How to wheelie INSTRUCTIONS!!!

i'm having a problem with the rear wheel spinning when i use the clutch to wheelie. the first time i tried this, the front wheel did lift about 6 inches or so, but every time since then the rear tire just spins and i get no lift at all. i'm running about 30 psi in the rear tire, should i go lower? and will lower tire pressure have any negative effects on tire wear?i use my bike for daily commuting, so i put a lot of highway miles on it.

you could be bringing the RPM's too high, dropping the clutch at higher RPM will break the rear tire loose, try dropping the clutch earlier... 5-8,000rpm.

Yeah man the problem is.... You have a 87 600f with only like 76hp and it weighs like 430lbs. I am in no way ripping on your bike, I learned to ride on a 89 600f, It will not wheelie in 2nd gear you have to do it in first! Then if you want to do anything else your going to have to get a different bike or gear your current bike if they even have sprockets for it anymore. But you can practice in first until you get a new bike... later

Okay... I have pretty much read this entire tread and I got one problem... The guys that say they are big guys... aren't that big. I'm a big guy. 6'2" and about 265lbs. And I don't have that much fat on me. If I work out a lot I can quickly get to 300lbs, but I try to stay under 270lbs. Nowmy F4i is my first bike ever. Do you think my big **voice over** "butt" **end voice over** will come up?

yes, it will come up.

a lot of squids stand over the gas tank, which henders the bikes ability to lift the front. try to stand over the rear tire and then clutch it.

change the frt sprocket there only like 15bucks...

One tooth on the frt is like three out back

Take a 15tooth off the front and put a 14 on will change your ?43? to a 46 basically in the rear
