Cant wheelie help
I am on a 97 F3 with stock gears.
In first gear i ride up to 7500-8000 rpm let of till
5000 rpm and then hit it hard again. the wheel only
gets up a couple feet at most and most of the time barely
lifts off the ground. What am i doing wrong or what else do
i need to do to get up to my balance point.

I never did do power wheelies, to dangerous and unpredictable. Clutch it up, works every time. I clutch up my 600rr in 2nd and 3rd easy. Once you can clutch up just practice a little at a time and don't rush things. Johnnyh
clutch wheelies are the only way, that is unless your happy riding short wheelies, no matter what anyone says, clutch wheelies are the ideal way to go, anyone who says otherwise obviously cant ride long wheelies, especially on a inline 4 600, by the time you get one powered up, your out of juice
I don't know if you have wheelied other bikes before, but definitely use your clutch. I just learned how to wheelie on my F2 after learning for a solid 3 hours on an XR 80. Before I started wheelying the xr 80, I was only getting my F2's front up about a foot like you probably are. I could power wheelie or clutch it up only a few inches, but never get the feeling like I could flip my bike if I stayed on the gas.
Literally, after learning to get the XR 80 to 12 oclock position while slow rolling and using the clutch, I got my F2's front wheels off the ground a good 3-4 feet the first few tries. If you are not comfortable getting your machine's front end off the ground- try it with a bike half the weight of yours. It helped me tremendously. I just made a post about it actually.
