Default Bike runs like *** with gauges unplugged. PLEASE HELP.

Hey im new here and im hoping someone can help me out. I have a 99 CBRf4 with which i would prefer to delete the gauge cluster. However when disconect the gauges the bike runs like *** and the condition gets progressively worse with ride time. Once i reconnect the gauges the problem is instantly gone. Why are the gauges required? How can i bypass this problem?

Thanks,

Erik

Find the owners manual for the bike, specifically a wire diagram. See what is being regulated with the gauge, and jump those wires.
