try welding a round bar on there first, hit 12 and scrape it then you got your angle take it off and weld on the flat plate

im still not sure about the idea of a round bar...seems like when you came back to hit it, it would throw the bike one way or the other...

My round bar feels fine it has never thrown me to the side or anything..I like it cause I won't destroy my tail when I scrape and i didn't want to cut up my tail for a bg *** 12 bar..

My buddy welded up a 12 bar for my other buddy's buell xb12r. It came out ok but it wasn't totally level. It cost $35 in materials and took him 4 hours to get in sort of right. Lesson = buy one. It'll be perfect the 1st time.
