Default clock always on

First off, I just got my first motorcycle, a 2003 Honda CBR600 F4i and so far it is AWESOME!!!

The clock is always on, even when the engine is off andt he ignition in the OFF or fork lock position. Is this normal? If not, what should I do?

I've searched for this question already, but all I could find was how to set the clock. I looked in the manual but couldn't find anything about it.

Thanks!

that's awesome isn't it?! that means that anybody can walk by your bike even if it's parked and see what time it is!

That's the whole reason I bought the bike. I hate wearing a watch.

I actually put a wrist band on my motorcyle...I didn't have to buy a watch and it reduces the chance of theft.
