RE: 06 600RR -- can't get it up
Heheheheh.... you shouldnt have a problem, as long as you do like I said and take it easy. This stuff takes time, especially if you dont wanna crash. Im not saying there is no way youll ever crash following my directions. There are all kinds of hazards out there, and the only way to have a chance of not crashing is to do preventative things, such as taking the time to get it right. Reduce the hazards one by one, only way to help keep yourself upright...
good luck, and do let us know how it goes

RE: 06 600RR -- can't get it up
Update...I've been messing around since I got all your advice.
Still can't get the rr up. I don't think I'm going fast enough in 1st - I'm going about 15-18 mph, whats that like 2-3k on the tach? I'll pull in the clutch and rev to about 8k, dump it and nothing.
I also think I still didnt get the smoothness down, which is prolly holding back.
I am startng off really slow, don't want to regret anything.
What do you guys think?
Thx

Dude don't worry what your tach is reading. If you looking at the tach your not doing it right. Go out and get rolling 1st gear about 5000-5500 rpms (you can look at the tach here to see where its at but thats the only time you need to) Now grip the clutch lever with your index finger leaving your middle, ring, and pinky finger on the grip. Pull the clutch lever in until it rests on the nuckles of your fingers still on the grip and give the bike a little rev and let the clutch out (thats all one SMOOTH motion) It probably won't come up the 1st few times, but just keep doing it and keep giving it a little more rpms everytime. Make sure to cover the rear brake, and slide your *** so it touches the rear seat, that will help a little too. Now go out and practice and if you still can't get it up, send the bike to me and I'll make a vid for you on your bike doing wheelies LOL
Good luck

Err -- the bike does lurch forward...it wants to do it haha
Ok, I took your advice, I hit about 5500, pulled the clutch reved it up and let her go! I got about 4 inche lift off the ground!
It was sweetttt lol. I think i don't need to squeeze it that much (to my knuckles), I think i need to go about half that, based on the friction zone on my bike.
I'll be doing a little more each day, nothing major...do I really need to worry about the effects on my clutch?
I pulled some stoppies too, no problems doing them. As for rolling stoppies...another day another time haha
IF you got nemore pointers, send em my way
Thanks!
