MSF is a must if you're going to ride on the street. I grew up on the dirt, and when I moved over to the street in 2007, I thought, meh, MSF is extra money, and I know how to ride. Many of my riding buddies from different motorcycle circles still recommended that I take the class (not due to my riding habits, but merely out of friendship), so I took the class. Since then, I have changed my view towards the class. I think everyone should take this class. I took it in 2008 (I think), and it has saved my life a few times since then. If you're military, like mentioned above, you're lucky. Bring your ID and get hooked up. I'm not military, so I payed the full class cost. It is definitely worth it.
