Yep, he just goosed the throttle on some cold tires....maybe a little slip-up with the clutch as well.
It also wouldn't surprise me, tho, if the dealer armoralled the tires.
I think they dressed the tire. It looks aweful shiny and the motor barely revved when the tire broke loose. The exact reason you should just go ahead and light the tire up for a few seconds before leaving on new rubber. You still have to be careful for a few miles but it helps.
I would think if the dealer dressed the tires, and it caused an accident in their lot, they would be held accountable, and subject to some kind of settlement. They have to know this, so I doubt that they did it.
i was scared to death of this happening to me. but now i do it all the time (without high siding) the tire spins a little and i know they are still cold. but its more controlled spin.
at least he was wearing his gear, cudos on the gear.
